Film-portrait of television documentary filmmaker Vasily Antipov. He began his professional career in the mid-1980s. and filmed episodes of the TV show "Good Night Kids". With the beginning of Perestroika, V. Antipov became the director of the popular infotainment television program "Vzglyad" (The View). We can say that "Vzglyad" has become nothing less than a phenomenon of its era, a symbol of openness and freedom in a period of fundamental changes in the country. Recalling the events of bygone days, Vasily Antipov talks about the "Vzglyad" phenomenon, changes in the country and on television. The film was edited exclusively from materials taken by the hero himself, or from his home archive.
